How can we help?
Schools & Colleges

We work in partnership with organisations helping them to meet the staturory guidance  https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/careers-guidance-provision-for-young-people-in-schools (Jan 2018). Our aim is to support schools and colleges to implement the 8 Gatsby Benchmarks which are a guideline for effective careers education, advice and guidance. We help young people recognise the importance of education to the world of work and future prosperity. Careers guidance works best when it is supplemented by other careers related experiences e.g. a comprehensive careers education programme, work experience and input from employers and education/training providers. http://www.gatsby.org.uk/education/focus-areas/good-career-guidance

Young people benefit from up to date information, advice and guidance to help them understand themselves and the options available to them. They are facing an ever changing job market and difficult decisions in relation to higher education. There are more pathways available both in terms of education, training and apprenticeships. Furthermore, with the raising of the participation age (RPA) to 18, it is crucial that young people are given the chance to discuss their own futures with impartial, fully qualified and experienced Advisers.

If students are focused and have a plan then this can lead to an increase in motivation, achievement and attendance.

The government's careers strategy (Jan 2018) states that all young people must have access to a programme of careers that is stable, structured and includes information on the full range of post-16 education and training options, including apprenticeships. It places schools/colleges under a duty to secure access to independent careers guidance, delivered by fully qualified individuals.
